What we make today
decides what you make tomorrow.
We started DAYOTI in 2026 with an original idea and a genuine purpose: that the material deserves as much care as the machine it feeds. Printers have grown remarkably capable. The filament running through them should be held to the same standard.
So we make our own. Every spool is drawn on our own line, measured as it runs, wound by us and sealed by us. For now that means four materials, made properly. In time it will mean a broader range of filaments and the tools that go alongside them, designed with the same patience. We hope they help you make more, and better.
How We Make It
We extrude from virgin resin rather than reprocessed material. Reground plastic carries contamination and behaves unpredictably in the melt, and both of those arrive at your printer as failed prints.
Diameter is measured continuously as the filament runs, not sampled once at the end of a batch. Every spool is wound under controlled tension so it keeps feeding smoothly as it empties instead of binding or crossing over itself, then sealed with desiccant so it reaches you dry.
What We Check
Before a batch is packed we check it for diameter consistency along its length, roundness, colour match against previous runs, and moisture content. Material that falls outside specification is not sold. The point of testing is not to certify what we already shipped — it is to stop the bad metre before it becomes your failed print.
Our Materials
Four materials, chosen because they cover the overwhelming majority of real printing work:
PLA: Prints cool, holds fine detail and stays dimensionally stable as it cools. The right choice for prototypes, display pieces and any part that will not have to survive heat.
PETG: Tougher than PLA and far more forgiving than ABS. Strong layer adhesion and good chemical resistance make it suited to functional parts that take some abuse.
ABS: Holds its shape at temperatures where PLA goes soft, and finishes well under sanding or vapour smoothing. Intended for end-use parts that live somewhere warm.
TPU: Flexible enough to bend and return to shape, firm enough to feed reliably. Used for gaskets, protective cases, dampers and anything that needs to absorb impact.
When Something Goes Wrong
Filament is a consumable, and a bad spool costs you more than the spool: it costs the print, the material already laid down, and the hours in between.
